A half-inch scale Chinese roombox by artisan John Masterman measuring 8" H, 11" W and D. Beautifully constructed with mahogany parquet floor, burled walnut and grained maple paneled walls, detailed Chinese Chippendale fretwork railings, ceiling and overmantel as well as a fretwork ceiling which is further covered with glass. Mirrored French doors along the elevated rear wall reflect the tiniest Chinese lanterns suspended from a fretwork screen. Custom built for the consignor in 1981. Three candles are missing, two ceiling frets replaced, otherwise perfect. We are having the three candles reproduced and they will be installed soon.
