Petit Point Wall Hanging

This tapestry is hung from a gold rod and is breathtaking. 

It shows a scene of country life in a village with lots of people doing different activities. Some are dancing and some are talking. There are families with children. Someone is looking out of a window. There are trees and buildings. It is very European. 

The hanging has a lovely gold trim around the edge. 

We do not know who the artist was but if you turn over the back you can see it was all handsewn, not by machine. 

This was many hours of work. It was bought at auction.
