The porcelain jointed doll in this presentation box is just stunning. Her face is so beautiful and well painted.
She is dressed by local doll artisan Mary Carl Roberts. Here is a list of the handmade clothing by the woman who does it best.
1. She is dressed in a chemise of ecru with pink ribbon ties and a pink ribbon belt with a little rose. She has on very delicate hose and little white leather shoes with a strap. She has a very nice wig that is sewn down the center with curls around her face. She is jointed at the arms and legs.
2.Sunday white dress with a heart at the throat. It is a cream and ecru ensemble. Behind the dress is a Victorian woman in an oval frame inside a Victorian frame. Could this be her mother?
3. Blue and white silk ribbon and lace on a blue silk dress. These clothes are hand stitched with love and care. On the floor near her feet is an open box that is full of photos and trinkets. The box is a work of art with its vintage pictures and gold foil trim.
4. First confession dress with its gold cross. It is purple and mauve silk and voile with lace. Below it is a little box that holds a mirror and two soaps.
5. Her good winter jacket and hat are black with back braid and trim. Below it is her pet dog Boogie.
The presentation box is 10 1/2" wide x 8 1/2" tall x 3' deep. It has a hanger on the back to mount it to the wall if you like.
You will never see a better doll and her clothing on display than this!
