Antique Simon & Halbig Lady #4 mc533x

5-3/4" tall. This lady is from a special sculpt by the German company Simon & Halbig called "Little Women." This doll retains her original body and wig. The arms and legs are half porcelain with the rest of her body being stuffed cloth. Her shoes are black painted 2-strap with heels. She has a shoulderhead, incised 9/0 on the front, and S&H//1160 on the back. She has inset brown glass eyes.Her hair is a little sparse but is still in its original set of the Gibson Girl style with braids coiled round in back into a bun. The clothing looks original but may just be vintage and is nearly all hand-stitched. It consists of a light brown sheer dress with a train over a heavy satin skirt trimmed in lace. The back of the left sleeve has darkened over the years. She has managed to hold on to her beads in her hair.  She seems to be in perfect condition and just looking for a new dollhouse to call home!
