Betty Valentine Chair mc030998

This chair is very special to me because of the unique curved design on the back. We have two of these made by Betty Valentine.

This chair came to us from the Loveman estate. Mrs. Loveman was a collector here in Nashville who owned a clothing store. She loved the very best! She purchased a set of chairs (The arm chair that matches it is also on line mc031624a.)

This chair has not only a beautiful petit seat cover but the carving of the ball feet is nothing short of amazing! 

This lovely chair is mahogany with a medium stain on it. 

This chair is vintage for sure. In this collection we have a total of five chairs by her and two of them have her signature mark of BSV on black paper. This chair has her mark (bsv in silver ink on a black paper) on the bottom. 

About 1 3/4" x 1 5/8" x 3 1/4" tall.

Her chairs are rare and I have never had the pleasure of handling her things until this collection.
