Made by a woman in Charleston. These are called worry baskets and made to be hung on a wall. The story goes there is no point on the bottom, because there is no point in worrying. Hang outside the living quarters. Fil with dry grass, leaves or herbs, symbolizing worrries and problems. People passing by take a pinch, crumple and through away. All worries and problems evaporate in the air. Feather= air, shell= water, stone=earth.
