This fireplace is made of white polyester resin, it is ready for paint and highly detailed.

6 1/8" W x 10 1/4" H x 1" D (mantel projection from dollhouse wall). Mantel height is 3 1/2"

 This fireplace is by "Unique Architectural Miniatures," maker of miniature architectural embellishments which are historically accurate for the one-inch setting. Their polyester products are developed by a specially controlled formula, and allow a degree of adaptability and flexibility not found in other castings. These items can be sawed, sanded, drilled and filled like hardwoods. In addition they are pliable when heated in an ordinary oven at 80 degrees. They can be painted with oil and acrylic paints. They can also be stained but it is best to experiment on the back first to see what effect you will get. Most of the Unique Miniatures items have one finished side. Any good quality adhestive, such as an epoxy glue, can be used to adhere them to their location. If a piece should chip while sawing or sanding, any good vinyl spackling will easily remedy it.
